Have you ever thought about wanting to become a Search and Rescue (SAR) Dog Handler but did not know how or where to start? This class is for you!
This informational seminar presents basic information about SAR Dogs through lectures, demonstrations and practical field exercises. The class encourages active participation and discussion. This seminar is appropriate for those already involved in first responder work or those with some dog training experience, but have not had a chance to learn how to extend those skills into K9 Search and Rescue. This is also a great seminar for those who manage emergency response incidents and would like to increase their knowledge about how to best utilize K9 SAR assets. Attendance with a dog is welcome, but not required.

(Event Hours: 0800-1700 Friday, Saturday and 0800-1200 Sunday)
Where: McLean County Emergency Management Agency, Bloomington, IL.
Cost: $325 per handler with dog; $150 per handler without dog.
Lunch will be included on site Friday and Saturday.
