Target Audience: Local responders or wilderness search teams. Dog should have at least 12 months experience in land HRD with a solid trained final response. No full bodies but large sources will be utilized.
Topics: This 2 day workshop will be a combination of classroom and field work. Classroom topics will include safety considerations, recognizing limitations, scent movement in disaster, communication with AHJ, decontamination procedures, human and canine health concerns.
Field works will focus on search exposure to rubble environments, agility, directional control, and obedience.
Availability: Space is limited to 30 working spots. Unlimited auditor spots available.

Meals: Lunches will be provided each day.
Hotels: A block of rooms will be held near the training site. Upon completing your registration, you will receive an email with hotel information so that you can reserve your room.
Prerequisites:
1. Dog must be at least 12 months old and have at least 6 months of HR training at the time of the workshop. Dog should also have a solid final response on land.
2. You should have, or be preparing to take a HRD Land certification from a national or state agency. If you have a current certification a copy can be uploaded during the registration process.
3. Dog must be current on core vaccinations per AAHA Core Vaccines: Rabies, and Combination vaccine (Distemper, Adenovirus-2, Parvovirus, +/- Parainfluenza). Current titers also accepted. Information can be found at:
