Target Audience: Teams that are new to water search. Dog should have a solid trained final response on land and 6 months land HRD training.
Topics: This 2.5 day workshop will be a combination of classroom and hands on training. Classroom topics will cover; boat safety, developing a water training progression plan, the importance of understanding body language and behavior, training log documentation for water, source considerations for water.
Hands on training will focus on introduction to shoreline search, introduction to boats and introducing odor from a boat, introducing distractions specific to water search, and the final response in a water environment.
Availability: Space is limited to 16 working spots. Unlimited auditor spots available.

Cost: Working Spot (1 dog only) $375, Auditor Spot $150
Meals: Lunches will be provided each day.
Hotels: A block of rooms will be held near the training site. Upon completing your registration, you will receive an email with hotel information so that you can reserve your room.
Prerequisites:
1. Dog must be at least 8 months old and have at least 6 months of HR land training at the time of the workshop.
2. Dog should have a solid trained final response on land.
3. Dog must be current on core vaccinations per AAHA Core Vaccines: Rabies, and Combination vaccine (Distemper, Adenovirus-2, Parvovirus, +/- Parainfluenza). Current titers also accepted. Information can be found at:
